“When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing, then we truly live life”. ~Greg Anderson

Visualization/Meditation on Gratitude

This is visualization, meditation to reawaken and strengthen gratitude. Gratitude is thankfulness, gratefulness, or appreciation.  It is a feeling or attitude in acknowledgment of a benefit that one has received or will receive. Eckhart Tolle believes that “Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”  And Wikopedia suggests that people who are more grateful have higher levels of “subjective wellbeing.  They are happier, less depressed, less stressed, and more satisfied with their lives and relationships.  They also have higher levels of control of their environments, personal growth, purpose in life, and self-acceptance.” The most successful way to increase gratitude has been found through keeping a gratitude journal.  I suggest that, following this meditation/visualization, you journal about the experience.

So…If you haven’t already, find a comfortable position so you can relax and take a short journey to find or strengthen gratitude.  Pause to begin the recording and do what you need to do to find a quiet and peaceful place where you can take a short journey…

I hope you enjoyed meeting your appreciator.  Thich Nhat Hanh says “Waking up this morning, I smile. Twenty-four brand new hours are before me. I vow to live fully in each moment and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.”

When you’re ready…take a few notes about this experience.  What did you see, hear, and feel, during the visualization?  What did you notice?  What other thoughts do you have about the experience?

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week!!!
